Key outcomes of the initiative

3. The project was scaled up from this initial pilot process to implement six regional workshops to present the Manual of Transparency and Accountability of ASADAs and to exchange experiences among ASADAs regarding transparency and accountability. CEDARENA was then hired to provide technical assistance for the development of specific Transparency and Accountability Plans for 35 ASADAs.

4. Another outcome was the facilitated agreement between the National Water Authority, ASADA federations and different institutions and organizations providing training to ASADAs to establish a National Continuous Capacity Building Programme for ASADA management. This programme aims to map and articulate the training activities and need of ASADAs in the country, to stimulate collaboration between training entities, and to ensure that training on transparency, accountability and water integrity is readily available for ASADAs in the long term.
