Value Chain Analysis (VCA)
The following table presents a generic VCA, structured around corrupt interactions in the W&S sector. Looking at the entire value chain shows that actors from all sectors (public and private sector, civil society as well as consumers) can be involved in such interactions at different stages. As the chart shows, a broad stakeholder commitment and coalition for change are necessary to address corruption in the W&S sector in an effective and sustainable way (Plummer & Cross, 2006).
