Applying the Capacity Assessment Methodology to Anti-corruption Agencies
The Organizational level
Monitoring and evaluation of the organization’s internal work is another key capacity, crucial for improving the agency’s performance (through results-based management techniques) and for promoting its role and leadership in the fight against corruption. ACAs are typically obligated to produce performance reports for oversight bodies and the general public as an element of institutional accountability. Progress reports should include performance benchmarks that are derived from organizational objectives and are linked to indicators, against which achievement can be assessed.
