Enabling factors for project implementation
The research team assigned to undertake the study accomplished the following major tasks:
- Using structured interview questionnaires, the team collected corruption risk related data from beneficiaries of water projects of the four sample regions, namely Amhara, Oromia, Somali and Benshangul Gumz.
- Organized focus group discussions with key actors in the Ethiopian water sector, such as community representatives, project offices, contractors, consultants and suppliers.
- Identified major corruption risks in the rural and urban water supply infrastructure in Ethiopia.
