Progress achieved

Development of good practices and adoption of the water management integral method at a national level

A social audit manual is being created for use by the Surveillance Committees. The document aims to provide clear guidelines and recommendations for social auditing on water management at the local level. Because the law is still being discussed by the Legislative Assembly, and there is currently no clear legal framework for water management, production of the document has been a challenge. In early 2014, the manual was drafted and shared with the micro regional officers. The manual should provide recommendations for the population, the Water Administration Bodies and the local authorities.

The manual should be ready by the end of September 2014, and will be shared and presented during trainings and workshops at the end of the year.
